Why SOPAGA Exists and How Faith Can Shape the Marketplace
When I shop online, it doesn’t bring me joy the way it used to.
I don’t know if my purchases are quietly supporting enslavement, trafficking, or systems that profit from human suffering. I don’t know if my hard-earned money is going into the hands of people who honor God, or into the hands of oligarchs and corporations that use their wealth to shape the world in ways that do not reflect the Father's heart.
I want my spending to mean something.
I want it to uplift people.
I want it to honor God.
That tension has been with me for a long time.
In 2009, after a mission trip to Ethiopia, God gave me a revelation that has never left me. While we were there, we walked through local marketplaces and found a way to create simple, beautiful items that could be made by hand and sold locally. We realized that if women were taught a craft and connected to buyers, they could earn income for basic necessities. Dignity. Provision. Opportunity.
The vision God placed on my heart was a marketplace that supports life and job skills around the world.
That vision became Agapé Market here in the United States. For over a decade, I’ve made handmade products, partnered with local nonprofits, and supported life and job skills in my own community. But the original vision was always larger than one small shop.
The technology simply didn’t exist yet.
Now it does.
SOPAGA is the natural next step.
It is a multi-vendor Christian marketplace created so that faith and commerce no longer have to live in separate worlds.
To me, values-aligned shopping means this:
-
Makers and producers are paid fairly
-
People work in conditions that honor their dignity
-
Sellers are encouraged in their God-given gifts and dreams
-
And the leaders of the platform use their influence and resources in ways that align with the teachings of Jesus
It means your money becomes a form of stewardship.
SOPAGA exists first and foremost to serve Jesus.
My prayer is that it becomes a place where the hands and feet of Christ are fruitful. Where provision multiplies. Where opportunities appear in places they did not exist before. Where entrepreneurs are nourished in their calling. Where sellers can improve their income and believe again in the dreams God gave them.
And for shoppers, my prayer is simple:
That you can buy the things you already need, the gifts you already give, and the consumables you already replace—while feeling peace about where your money goes.
That every purchase feels like alignment instead of compromise.
If you are a seller, I hope this feels like a trusted place to plant your business.
If you are a shopper, I hope this feels like an invitation to be part of something new.
If you are a church or nonprofit leader, I hope you see opportunities to generate income through partnership and affiliate support.
SOPAGA is not just another store.
It is a marketplace built on prayer, obedience, and the belief that faith can shape the economy.
This is where Christian-owned brands can gather.
This is where values-aligned shopping becomes simple.
This is where faith meets commerce.
Welcome.
